2002 WAUGH CELLARS Cabernet Sauvignon, Spring Mountain, Napa Valley
wpe3.jpg (1244 bytes)wpe3.jpg (1244 bytes)wpe3.jpg (1244 bytes)
A very smooth wine, yet with the structure to cellar for several years. Wonderful aromas and dark berry fruit flavors that linger on the palate. Let it breathe for a while and this wine will really open up. This first effort from winemaker Ryan Waugh is sure to please and might establish this small producer as a player in the world of Cult Cabs. Only 420 cases produced.

2003 WAUGH CELLARS Zinfandel, Dry Creek Valley

A fruity offering with flavors of blackberries and raspberries with blueberry notes. The finish lingers on the palate and the fruit just keeps coming through. Only 275 cases produced.

wpe3.jpg (1244 bytes)wpe3.jpg (1244 bytes)wpe3.jpg (1244 bytes)
100% Sauv Blanc, barrel fermented and aged on the lees. Vinified in more of a Chardonnay
style, but still retains its varietal characteristics. Melon aromas with grassy notes followed melon & tropical fruit flavors with a slightly tart citrus finish. Only 250 cases produced.
About $20                                    07/26/05                                           Steve

2003 WAUGH CELLARS Chardonnay, Indindoli Vineyard, Russian River
wpe3.jpg (1244 bytes)wpe3.jpg (1244 bytes)wpe3.jpg (1244 bytes)
Pear & apples flavors with a buttery mouthfeel from the oak fermentation and aging on the lees. Complex flavors that are followed by a crisp acidity.  Big enough to pair with grilled steaks, chicken or seafood. Only 300 cases produced.
About $28                                    07/26/05                                           Steve
